Within the framework of B3's corporate governance segment – ​​the so-called "Level 1" – Cemig commits to operating with transparency, strengthened shareholder rights, and structured management practices. Adherence to this level establishes a minimum standard of good governance to protect the interests of investors and other stakeholders, promoting greater clarity in information and greater reliability in the company's decisions.

As a member of this segment since October 2001, Cemig incorporates these controls and mechanisms as an integral part of its corporate culture – thus seeking not only to meet regulatory requirements but also to build sustainable long-term value, balancing economic performance, responsibility, and governance.
